Vehicles other towies don’t want

A lot of what we move doesn’t run: cars with front-end damage collected from a holding yard, project cars that haven’t turned a wheel in years, vehicles with seized brakes or missing wheels, and insurance write-offs heading to a buyer or wrecker.

These jobs need a bit more planning. Before we arrive we’ll ask whether the vehicle rolls and steers, whether all wheels are on, where the keys are and what the access is like. That means the right gear on the truck and a quote that reflects the actual job.

Been in a crash? If your vehicle is at an accident scene in the Melbourne controlled area, the tow is arranged through Victoria's official accident allocation system — not booked directly with a trade towing company. Once your vehicle has been cleared from the scene (for example to a holding yard, repairer or your home), we can help move it from there. How accident towing works in Victoria.

Questions

Non-Running Vehicles FAQs

Can you collect my car from an accident scene?

Crash-scene tows in the Melbourne controlled area are allocated through Victoria’s official accident towing system. Once your vehicle has been taken to a holding yard, repairer or your home, we can move it from there. See our accident towing guide for details.

What if the car doesn’t roll at all?

Tell us when you book. Non-rolling vehicles can usually still be winched onto a tilt tray, but we may need to plan extra time or equipment.

Do you buy damaged cars?

No — we’re a towing and transport business. We’re happy to deliver your car to a wrecker or buyer you’ve arranged.
